  1. TLS rolled into Maidstone last night to play the first of a trilogy of gigs at The Royal Albion. The first thing that struck us was the space, or lack of. We set up in a linear fashion, a sort of 2 2 2 formation not made famous by anyone, we showed flexibility when at times we moved to a diamond at the front, which gave us a more fluid attacking approach. The punters said that Sandra was great upfront (oh err) in the lone singers role last week, but I think she was pleased to have Al back alongside her. Anyone else missing the football season?

Anyway, despite the bass and drums being almost in another room the gig was great, and a big thanks to Clive who helped us out on kit whilst our usual van driver, I mean drummer, was away.

We had many good comments about our sets, “great songs, great selection, something for everyone, the male lead is absolutely gorgeous and sings like an angel” were just a few I remember, and so we look forward to a return trip there next month.

    Al 😉
